Heart Disease in Women

Cardiologist Dr. Daniel van Buren returns for a presentation on Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) as it is diagnosed in women: the epidemiology, prognosis and treatment. He will also explore the ongoing myths about heart disease in women and how these affect the use of certain diagnostic tests and procedures.

Gould Chamber Ensemble
This ensemble of violins, flutes, clarinets, bassoon, and piano will be performing works by Eduard Grieg, Jean-Baptiste Accolay, W.A. Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Piazzolla. Free and open to the public.

Due to forecast of ice/freezing rain the Valentine Winter Games are postponed until 2019. 
An afternoon of “snowful” activities: snow bowling, sit skiing making snow angels and sculptures.  Evening bonfire complete with smores and cocoa. For a fee, adults can bring their special person to enjoy specialty chocolates and a glass of wine. Part of Great Maine Outdoor Weekend, sponsored by Mahoosuc Land Trust and Maine Adaptive. FMI:

Poems by Richard Blanco - Music by Tom Davis

A concert featuring new poems and a repeat performance of Blanco’s 2013 Inauguration poem, One Today, all performed by chorus, strings and several collaborating local musicians in various musical styles. Mr. Blanco will be speaking about these poems and others. Suggested donation at the door of $10.00. Sponsored by Bethel Area Arts and Music. Reception for local artists of all disciplines at 6:00 pm.
